Benicia Kestrels

When I checked the nest box camera this morning, there were three chicks instead of four! So, one chick has fledged. Specifically, one of the females. I believe I spotted her in the late afternoon, perched at the top of the tallest pine a few houses away. Her siblings, however, remained in their nest box all day. They seemed to be well fed, with a very large rodent going uneaten for many hours. As usual, the chicks in the nest box peeked out from time to time. Pictures will be posted soon.
