The morning began with the male Kestrel chick peeking out of the nest box.
By mid-morning everyone seemed tired, having a lie down.
Around mid-day a female Kestrel chick spends some time peeking out of the nest box. Look how much longer her tail has gotten, compared to just a few days ago!
In the early evening the Kestrel chicks had an extended episode of jumping up and wing flapping. They were kind of acting like they’re trapped, but they are not.
A mere few minutes after the extended jumping & flapping episode, this video shows a female chick perched at the nest box opening, peeking out. Then, dinner is delivered. The chicks must still be well fed, because there was not a lot of interest and competition over the lizard.By nightfall, the chicks were settled in for hopefully another good night.
