The Kestrel chicks FINALLY peeked out of their nest box for the first time, today.
In this video, one of the female chicks sits at the nest box opening, for the first time, and then jumps back down into the box. It was another cold (for California) and very windy day. In this video you can see the female chicks sway as the nest box is buffeted by wind and their brother has a late afternoon snack.
Getting a good rest, which they’ll need because fledge day might be tomorrow!
