Today the Kestrel chicks continued to compete over the prey deliveries that their parents are regularly providing. While the largest chick continues to dominate and feed more, often being able to gulp the available food piece down whole, the other chicks remain assertively scrappy. Another milestone today was more preening behavior, as the chicks start to care for their first real feathers.
