April 26, 2026: Chicks have hatched!

Today’s check of the nest box camera revealed at least four newly hatched chicks! The videos below show the female leaving the box briefly to take delivery of a lizard from her mate, revealing at least four hatchlings.

The female briefly leaves the nest box, revealing a good view of the new nestlings.
The female Kestrel is gone only briefly: She takes delivery of a lizard from her mate and then gently feeds the nestlings.
The female continues to feed the nestlings, and then resumes incubation.
